Hey Young Chefs!

This past Saturday, I had my book debut party for Cool Kids Cook: Louisiana (published by Pelican Publishing) at Octavia Books in New Orleans. It was so much fun! Here I am with Ms. Judith Lafitte, one of the owners of Octavia Books. She’s so cute!

I demonstrated my recipe for “Jambalaya” from my new cookbook. Ms. Judith was my “sous chef.”

We gave out lots of samples and everyone loved the jambalaya. They even asked for seconds! Look at this tasty dish.

My sister, Soleil Lisette, who is the illustrator and designer of the book, signed books with me. In this picture is our fan, Tomasso.

We had a great time at Octavia Books. Thank you to Mr. Tom Lowenberg, Ms. Judith Lafitte, their staff, and my whole family (mom, dad, nana, paw paw, Camrynn, Ashlynn, and Jasmynn) for being there and supporting me! And thank you to everyone for coming.

Cool Kids Cook and make delicious Louisiana dishes!
