“A Tisket A Tasket What’s Inside My Basket?”
Today’s secret ingredient is Black Beans. Here is a recipe for my “Vegan Turkey Loaf.” My mom and I made this for my vegan sister, Soleil, for her own Vegan Thanksgiving. It actually tasted really yummy, especially with the Vegan Cranberry Sauce.
“Figure Out This Food!”
I have a game on my Facebook page called “Figure Out This Food.” I post a close-up of a food item and the first three guesses get a shout-out here. Congratulations to Julie Moran Hanks and Ruby Byers for guessing “Pomelo.”
“Snacktivity Time”
It’s Snacktivity Time! Here, I give you fun easy breezy snack ideas. Today’s Snacktivity is… “Vegan Vanilla Yogurt.”
“Creative Cuisine”
Hey young chefs! You’re listening to the VoiceAmerica Kids Network. This is Kid Chef Eliana and it’s time for “Creative Cuisine.” This is a recipe for “No-Bake Vegan Pumpkin Mousse Pie.” This was another dish made for my sister’s Vegan Thanksgiving. It tastes almost exactly like the regular pumpkin mousse that I made for everyone else. Mmmm!
“Kitchen Crafts!”
Here is a fun kitchen-related craft. Today’s kitchen craft is how to make a “Candy Cane Rudolph.”
Supplies:
1 large candy cane
1 brown fuzzy stick, cut in half
1 small red pom pom
2 small googly eyes
Hot glue
Instructions:
Step 1: Twist the fuzzy stick around the top of the candy cane to create antlers.
Step 2: Wrap each side of the fuzzy stick around a pencil to create corkscrew antlers.
Step 3: Glue googly eyes near the top of the candy cane curve.
Step 4: Glue red pom-pom to the tip of the candy cane’s curve to create Rudolph’s nose.
That’s all for this week!
Bon Appetit,
Kid Chef Eliana
Wow! You are great!
